Toei Robot Girls to Get Pilot Film in July

The Japanese studio Toei Animation announced on Tuesday that production on a pilot film for Toei Robot Girls has been approved. To promote the various works in the studio's anime catalog, the Toei Robot Girls project launched two years ago with girl characters dressed as famous Toei robots. In particular, the website and the first manga installment center on three female personifications of the robots in the Gaiking ("Gai-chan"), Magnerobo Ga-Keen ("Gacky"), and Superhuman Combat Team Baratack ("Bara-tan") anime.
In the backstory created for the project, the Toei Robot Girls Laboratory was established to protect Earth from the threat of space invasion. The laboratory gathered the data from super robots who have protected Earth in the past, and then used that research to imbue "cute girls" with their legendary powers. Tetsuya Kawakami (Shigofumi - Letters from the Departed) designed the characters.
Toei plans to unveil the pilot film on the project's official website and other venues in early July. The studio will announce more details on the release date in the near future. The website already streamed a promotional video last year.

______________________________________________Continuano gli strascichi degli annunci del Tokyo International Anime Fair 2009: Toei Animation ha comunicato per quest’anno un progetto dal titolo indicativo di Toei Robot Girls. Ancora avaro di rivelazioni, il progetto sarà un bishojo con protagoniste una squadra di ragazze agghindate come i più famosi robot del catalogo Toei. Cliccando sull'immagine di lato è possibile riconoscere i “cosplay” di Baratack, il robot di Superhuman Combat Team Baratack, anime trasmesso tra il 1977 ed il 1978 e noto in Italia col titolo di Balatack, Ga-Keen di Magnetico Robot Gakeen, trasmesso in Giappone l'anno precedente e in Italia nel 1980, e Gaiking dall'anime omonimo, trasmesso anch'esso tra il 1976 ed il 1977, e l’unico dei tre ad aver beneficiato di un remake nel corso del 2006. I remake e le rivisitazioni di Nagai con la mia Jun che si fa' i "solitari" guardando 2 uomini che si fanno saltare i denti su un ring, e pure posso accettarlo
