Leggendo il manga non sembra una serie robotica dato che Daitan è distrutto da Garura e Hayato riesce a neutralizzare o a domare il dinosaurone grazie ai propri poteri psichici.
Compaiono poi i veri nemici (una sorta di alieni che hanno edificato un continente sommerso) ma non si capisce bene come Hayato li dovrà affrontare, presuporrei che dovrà farlo non con Big Daitan ma proprio con Garura

Decisamente si e viene ripreso anche in Mazinger Girls con lo stesso ruolo (anzi peggiore perchè li fa una magra figura contro il Dragosauro e basta, senza che intervengano poteri psichici a salvare il pilota).
Poi se avessero deciso o decideranno di fare una serie con Big Daitan come protagonista sarebbe un'altra cosa (un universo parallelo come si è detto tante volte)

Garura è una translitterazione di varuna. Al posto del coccodrillo un dinosauro. Le corna di Goldrake richiamano la corona di Varuna. Naturalmente ci sono le 4 braccia.
