Psycho Armor Govarian HISTORY A lesser work of Go Nagai, Psycho Armour Govarian contains several stylistic designs similar to the Mazinger series. However, it has nothing to do with the Mazinger continuity or the Mazinger universe. Govarian failed to reach the heights of success that Mazinger had before it, but nevertheless contains some interesting action scenes and good drama about the suffering caused by war, representing an evolution in the thoughts of Go Nagai himself. STORY The Garadain Empire has exhausted the resources of its home planet and seeks to invade other planets in order to migrate. One of the targets is Earth but a rebel scientist from the Garadain Empire named Zeku Alba escapes to Earth where he searches for youths with the "psycho genesis" power, a power that can generate solid matter from mental energy. He finds a young orphan named Isamu who possesses such a power. Isamu, together with other youths with the psycho genesis ability are gathered by Alba and three robots (called psycho armors) are created, the mightest of which is created by Isamu: Govarian...a battle robot that can fight and regenerate itself through psycho energy.
