[JAP] Gizumo Graphic Novel: Grendizer - Once in a blue moon

Gizumo non ha bisogno di presentazioni, frequenta ormai da tempo in nostro forum.
Come le altre ragazze, ha un suo blog dove ospita, oltre ad altri argomenti, la sua lunga Graphic Novel, ancora in via di completamento, dove in un sequel che è anche un cross over tra varie serie Duke Fleed incrocia il suo destino con Honey e con la Principessa Aurora.

Ho chiesto a Gizumo di fornirmi lo story-board del suo racconto:

Gizumo doesn't need to be introduced, she joins our forum since long.
As other japanese friends, she has a blog where you can find various arguments and her long Graphic Novel, stil in course, which is a sequel of Grendizer but also a cross over between various anime, and where Duke Fleed meets Honey and Princess Aurora.

I asked Gizumo to give me a story-board of her novel:

Dear readers;

It is big honor and joy for me that my work is introduced
to this website.
Here I'll tell you a message and an outline of my works:

As for this fan fiction,
the main theme is a love story of “Duke and Honey”.
Especially, "Love and loneliness" which I really intend to pursue
through them.

The story begins as follows…：

★“Go to the earth”：

One year has passed from “the story of Dynamic Heroes".

A new issue happened to Duke, when a fortune-teller contracted
with the Royal family of “The Freed Star” told him;

”Go to the Earth. Confront a new approaching crisis.
Some dangerous intruder seems to appear in the Galaxy again.
And you will meet a destined woman during this journey.”

He left for the Earth to protect the Earth and Galaxy
from the menace of the intruder.

On the way, he met and saved the party of Princess Aurora
who were at a critical moment attacked by mysterious enemy.

★ The destined encounter？：

Then Duke (Daisuke) arrived at the Earth, where he met
good old people again.
He met “ Hikaru” ,the woman who loved him and waiting for him
for a long time.

Also he met a new woman “Honey Kisaragi” for the first time.
During a new life with them on the Earth, he was gradually
attracted to Honey.

Hikaru loved him. Moreover, the man who loved Honey ,"Seiji" ,
has run after her to the Earth.

He was surrounded by such correlations of love.

★ The sword shows fate?：

The party of Princess Aurora appeared again, with a sword
in her hand.
Princess Aurora is a ruler of "the Great King Star"
at the center of Galaxy.
A magic spell has put on the sword, that is,
only the man who would become her partner would be able to
pull it.

And, it was Duke who could pull the very sword when he saved her.

When she asked him, “Are you my destined man?” ,he was puzzled.
Who on earth would be his destined woman?”

★ Love and loneliness：

Honey felt deep loneliness in herself.
To tell the truth, she was not a human being but an“Android".
She suffered from being an android, but she couldn't confide
her secret to him.

However, Duke was the only person who could understand
her loneliness.
Because he also had unbearable loneliness.

Duke was a prince of Freed star destroyed by an alien from Vega.
He had lost everything by the war and could not but leave
his hometown to survive.

When he arrived at the Earth all alone, he made his circumstances
a secret, and he lived as Daisuke, which is according to
the original “Grendaizer”story.
He suffered from unbearable loneliness when he thought of his
lost hometown..

A man and woman on the Earth,
...with "the loneliness" that nobody could understand ,
...who met and fell in love.

How come the future of their love ?

In ”Part 1”, which I finished writing so far.,I hope you would
enjoy whereabouts of their love.

In “Part 2”, the stage shifts from the Earth to the Space.

◆ About the origin named “Once in a Blue Moon”：

At first, I personally love the moon so much.
And, do you know a meaning called Blue Moon?

The moon becomes full twice a month rarely.
In such a case, it is called ”Blue Moon”.
Therefore ”Blue Moon” is symbolized as
"a rare event that rarely happens".
Sometimes it means something impossible or
something special and important.

In the series of this funfiction,
I have the intention to make exciting combinations
which seems unexpected from the original work,
…as if they are like “Blue Moon”.

Various characters appear and weave crossover relations
beyond the original "Glendizer" story.
It is a miraculous dream which I want to express.

Along the theme of each work,
I selected music tunes from my favorite musicians as BGM.
These combinations are also exciting in my idea.

I hope you would enjoy both sound and the text in themselves.

◆"Glendizer"　is　always my dream！：

It was 33 years ago when I started watching “Glendizer” series.
I was a junior-high student then.
When consecutive broadcast of“Glendizer”in Japan was finished,
a new story has appeared in my imagination.

For me,　Duke in "Glendizer" became a Super-Hero
and Honey in "Cuty Honey" also a Super-Heroine.
I was impressed deeply with them so far.

So, I wondered why they were not able to accomplish their love
in each story, which I felt unsatisfied with them.

And also, I thought the people of supporting role might have
more various roles to make more exciting love story.

Then, I wanted to express my original ideas.
But my skills in writing and drawing　were too poor to constitute
them in these days.

Now, my dream comes true！

I write my own “Glendizer” story and draw pictures of
my favorite characters.

Though the enthusiastic fan of the original work may have a little
resistance to my fanfiction,...

I am so glad to be able to announce my works in the world
through my blog.

I can understand how you feel about being able to write and draw your own story.
I think all of us wanted Grendizer to go on and we didn’t like how it ended.
It is so nice and satisfying when you 'do it yourself ', the characters become ours and we can imagine numerous adventures.

Your drawings are really nice and delicate.
They are certainly full of passion and I feel sure, any Grendizer fan, can appreciate such works because care and love for the subjects are clear.
The drawing I like most is this one

It's as if you have captured him just walking by…he seems so natural! :wub:

Gizumo, i disegni raccontano molto bene i sentimenti che provano i personaggi di questa storia ed alcuni mi piacciono molto per come sono stati resi. L'idea di una relazione tra Duke e Honey mi incuriosisce molto pensando ai caratteri così diversi dei due ragazzi. Complimenti anche per il fatto di accostare dei brani musicali ai vari momenti della storia, la musica non solo apre la mente alla fantasia quando si crea ma in questo caso può aiutare chi legge e guarda ad immedesimarsi pienamente nella storia, proprio come avviene negli anime e nei film.

Complimenti Gizumo.

Gizumo, drawings describe their feelings very well the characters of this story, and some I like very much to how they were made. The idea of a relationship between Duke and Honey I'm curious about so much thinking about the different characters of the two boys. Congratulations also to the fact of approaching the music at various times in history, the music not only opens the mind to the imagination when you create, but in this case can help the reader to empathize and see the full story, just like in anime and in the movies.

It seems rare to find fans of Cutie Honey, especially of the original Cutie Honey. Please continue to draw even more beautiful works. This means alot to another Honey fan.

Dear Gizumo,

I answer only now to your post, because I wanted to read everything very well and to admire with attention to your beautiful pictures ... a visual feast! I have no words! :face8.gif:

Before commenting your pictures, I would talk a bit about your fanfic about Duke Fleed and Cutie Honey ... (I hope that this fanfic will be published here soon ... I will read it with real pleasure! :face8.gif:

). First, I was surprised by the choice of putting together two very different characters ... then, reading your post, I realized that they are not so different, being both lonely, though for different reasons.

The idea of a meeting between Duke Fleed and Princess Aurora is beautiful, I loved it! :face8.gif:

I always loved Starzinger, with Princess Aurora and the rebel Jan Coogh: a match between two legends of the anime story is truly a spectacle ...

Among other things, I'm sorry a bit about Hikaru, beacuse, since I was little, I was in love with her... I was sorry a little, seeing her sad because Duke Fleed is no longer with her ... :farofflook.gif:

But I must admit that Duke Fleed and Cutie Honey together make a beautiful couple ... :face5.gif:

I do not know much about Cutie Honey, because she did not arrive in Italy: I knew her by her manga or by her OAV. I always liked her as a character: a fighter of love, with a cheerful and optimistic nature, even in the context of war that she faces every day ... and being un'androide.

Your fanfic seems to me very interesting ... the title is really original. I knew nothing about the "Blue moon", but I heard that could happen a month with twice the full moon, even if it is a very rare phenomenon.

I did not know that you could associate the music to the text ... you surprised me! :huh.gif:

You have an excellent mastery of colour and of characters' expression, not to mention the great imagination that you have in doing that ... the body structure and proportions are perfect, congratulations! :dio:

Prima di commentarli, vorrei parlare un attimo della tua fanfic su Actarus e Cutie Honey...(spero che venga pubblicata presto qui...la leggerò con molto piacere! :face24.gif:

). Innanzitutto, mi ha sorpreso la scelta di mettere insieme due personaggi così diversi...poi, leggendo il tuo post, ho capito che tanto diversi non sono, essendo tutti e due solitari, anche se per motivi differenti.

L'idea dell'incontro tra Actarus e la Principessa Aurora mi è piaciuto da matti! :face8.gif:

Ho sempre amato Starzinger, con la Principessa Aurora e il ribelle Jan Coogh: un incontro tra due leggende dell'anime è davvero uno spettacolo...

Tra l'altro, mi dispiace un pò per Venusia...vedi, io sin da piccolo mi ero innamorato di lei e vederla triste perche Actarus non è più con lei mi è dispiaciuto un pò... :farofflook.gif:

però devo ammettere che Actarus e Cutie Honey insieme fanno una bella coppia... :face5.gif:

Io non conosco molto Cutie Honey perchè in Italia non è arrivata: l'ho conosciuta attraverso il manga o attraverso alcuni OAV. Mi è sempre piaciuta come personaggio: una combattente dell'amore, con una natura solare e ottimista nonostante il contesto di guerra che affronta ogni giorno... e il fatto di essere un'androide.

La fanfic che hai fatto mi sembra molto interessante...anche il titolo è davvero originale. Non sapevo nulla della "Luna blu", ma avevo sentito che in un mese poteva accadere che ci fosse due volte la luna piena, anche se è un fenomeno molto raro.

Non sapevo che si potesse associare la musica al testo...qui mi hai sorpreso! :huh.gif:

Ed ora passiamo ai tuoi bellissimi disegni...ovviamente li ho salvati tutti! :face8.gif:

Hai un'ottima padronanza del colore e dell'espressione dei personaggi, per non parlare della grande fantasia che hai nel fare i soggetti...la struttura corporea e le proporzioni sono perfette, complimenti!
