Per tutti coloro che mi inviano richieste di "amicizia" dall'Italia: ho aperto questo account di Facebook in fretta e furia (tanto che fino a un paio di giorni fa non ero neppure io a gestirlo, ma una mia amica "a distanza") dopo aver saputo che c'era qualcuno che si spacciava per me utilizzando non solo il mio nome ma anche una mia fotografia.

In questi giorni si e' trasformato in uno spazio "personale" di contatto tra me e i miei amici dal Giappone e dall'Asia, e gestito per la maggior parte in giapponese, cinese o thailandese; soprattutto - essendo appunto uno spazio personale - e' completamente slegato dalle attivita' di d/visual e si concentra soprattutto sui miei interessi verso altri temi. Viste le numerose richieste che continuo a ricevere, sto comunque considerando l'apertura di un account "non ufficiale" d/visual. Credo di decidere in merito nei primissimi giorni di settembre e mi prendero' cura di informare tutti coloro che mi hanno contattato.

Per quanti vogliono richiedermi informazioni sui manga d/visual, la loro gestione e' attualmente affidata a GP Publishing, che dall'autunno si occupera' di inviare aggiornamenti periodici al pubblico. Il sito di d/books verra' aggiornato solamente con i nuovi volumi delle serie che attendono di essere completate, mentre tutti gli altri aggiornamenti verranno forniti da GP Publishing sul proprio sito.

Riguardo ai DVD di "UFO Robot Goldrake", gli editori sono Dynamic Planning e Toei Animation - d/visual cura solo la localizzazione e la distribuzione in Italia - e da qualche anno sono entrati in trattative che purtroppo non hanno ancora portato ad alcun accordo. La pubblicazione e' dunque sospesa in attesa di una decisione dei due editori, ma anche in questo caso saro' immensamente felice di annunciare la ripresa delle uscite sul sito d/world e agli amici di Facebook non appena questa sara' definita.

Visto che sei cosi amico di Colpi chiedigli, cortesemente, come sta la storia dei diritti e se e' possibile che in futuro qualche casa editrice italiana possa acquistare gli altri anime di Go Nagai?

4) ha poi aggiunto che prossimamente uscirà anche Devilman... certo, scommettiamo che ci mostrerà un promo del genere? senza credits, ovviamente...

5) tralasciando altre vergogne tipo fantasmagorici software freeware per il montaggio video, non posso che chiudere in questo modo. e che non se ne parli (mai) più.

Sorry, but this website is not updated for 2 years for the DVDs of Grendizer.
The "d / visual" has produced this DVD without the "dubbing history" that potential buyers were expecting, "d / visual" he added only a NEW dubbing. So DVDs have sold very little and now the "d / visual" does not have enough money to fund the exit of the last 2 dvds. The "d / visual" is justified constantly blaming an alleged legal dispute between "Dynamic Planning" and "Toei Animation" despite having been declared (in 2004 in a well-known newspaper Italian national) by the d/visual's administrator "Federico Colpi" that this legal matter had been fully resolved.

It 'really a shame.

D/Visual website relating to Goldrake/Grendizer DVDs has not been updated in past 2 years and the "coming soon" on the page has been there all this time.
D/Visual's Goldrake special edition was released with a brend new dubbing, having some of the main characters' voices played by the same dubbers/actors as in the late '70s TV airing (we call it "doppiaggio storico", you could translate it as "vintage dubbing" or "historical dubbing"), not including that same dubbing in the DVDs. As now, no realistic news about the last 2dvds have been announced by d/visual, that has recently signed a partnership with GP Publishing to distribute their mangas but no anime DVD. Rumors are that some legal issues between Toei and Dynamic are blocking the release of the last DVDs and the TV airing that was announced for January 2011, but no official confirmation to this at present time, indeed Federico Colpi claimed in an interview on Repubblica (one of the major italian newspapers) that those issues had been resolved back in 2004 . Some fans (Magonagai included) think that DVDs have not been released untiln now because of low sales, while the editorial by d/visual in January 2011 seems to be a "requiem" with a lot of self-praising and no real infos about the company's future. Mr. Colpi says he is no longer working in anime-manga and no longer involved with d/visual, but no official news on all of this have been given by anyone.
Hopefully I helped a bit in explaining the situation, but we are actually clueless (at least on an official basis)

Yes, we too thought the same thing in Italy until two years ago ... But the d/visual has not proved up to ... The other dvd Grendizer have come up with an incredible infrequency!
Were also removed from the episodes all the songs sung in Japanese, have left only the instrumental bases, in addition there are subtitles for the deaf, the DVD menus are all the same (but the Japanese are different in each disk) ...
Summary is a very sad home-video edition.
They talk about problems between DYNAMIC PLANNING and Toei Animation, but if there were such problems would not have been produced even a DVD. Instead ...

What is the truth? We just feel cheated.

two years ago we were just thinking the same, but d/visual proved not to uphold its promises and its announces. The whole DVD series was released with a very erratic scheduling, opposed to a plan that said they would release a disc each month (summer excluded) starting march 2007.
Also there were problems with bgm in the first season (seems they included only instrumental versions and not the songs), no subtitles at all and lot of complains about technical issues (for example, menus where quite poor indeed, especially compared to japanese edition).
All considered, lot of people where non satisfied by this "special" edition, even before it was left uncompleted.
Mago wonders why these issues between Dynamic Planning and Toei Animation stopped the release of just the last two discs and not the whole series.
Nobody knowing the truth can or want release an official statement, so no official truth is known and all you can find are actually rumors, but all the fans who bought the dvds feel cheated because WE miss the last two discs.

@Mago ovviamente mi prendo la libertà di rielaborare, precisando cosa sono notizie certe e cosa sono speculazioni (giusto per evitare di fare confusione e di creare un effetto "telefono senza fili"), senza nulla togliere al valore delle tue posizioni, che per la maggior parte condivido.
